What is Narcotics Anonymous?
NA is a worldwide organization or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean.
It is a program of complete abstinence from all drugs. There is only one condition for membership, the desire to stop using.
We suggest you keep an open mind and give yourself a chance. Our program is a set of principles, written so simply that we can follow them in our daily lives.
What's important is that they work.
There are no commitments in NA. We are not affiliated with any other organization, have no registration or membership fees, guarantees to sign or promises to make to anyone.
We are not affiliated with any political, religious or legal faction and are never under surveillance. Anyone can connect with us, regardless of age, race, sexual identity, creed, religion or lack of religion.
We are not concerned with what or how much you were getting or what your connections were, what you have done in the past, what is your financial situation but only what you want to do about your problem and how we can help.
The newcomer is the most important person at any meeting because we can only keep what we have by giving it away.
We have learned from our group experience that those who continue to come regularly to our meetings stay clean.
The primary purpose of every Narcotics Anonymous group is to convey the NA message:
“A drug addict, any drug addict, can stop using,
to lose the desire to use, and to find a new way of life".
We thus hope that no drug addict seeking recovery will ever have to die,
without having a chance to live drug free.
