April 15th / Keep it coming

"Now we enjoy our lives clean and want more of the beautiful things the NA brotherhood has to offer."
Main Text, p. 31

Do you ever remember looking at the recovering drug addicts in NA and wondering, "Since they're not drinking anything, what the hell are they laughing at?" Did you think that when the use ends, the laughter ends? Many of us believed so. We were sure to leave the "good life" behind. Today, many of us laugh at this misconception because we know the fullness that recovery can bring to our lives.

Much of what we enjoy in recovery is earned by actively participating in the NA brotherhood. We begin to discover what companionship means, we create friendships with people who understand us and truly care about us. We find a place where we can be truly useful to others. Fellowship gatherings, services, and events can fill our time and interest us. Sisterhood can act as a mirror that will give us a clearer picture of ourselves. We find guides, supporters, friends, love, care and support. The more we keep coming, the more the brotherhood has to offer.

Just for today

I know where the really good life is. I will keep coming.
